Open Products and enter a distinct name, description, unit, unit price and tax rate. Decide whether the item is a product or service. Check the amount before saving; a catalog price is not a substitute for reviewing each invoice.

Use it on an invoice
Select the item in a draft and verify quantity, price, discount and VAT. Edit the draft line when the agreed service differs from the catalog default.
Track stock
Use stock tracking only for physical items counted in units. Record receipts and withdrawals with the correct quantity and review the resulting balance. Services normally do not need stock tracking.
Important
Expected result and recovery
The item appears in the catalog and can populate a draft line. If the total is wrong, correct the line before issuing and check the preview again.
