Choose the right document type

Use a quote before a customer accepts an offer, an order for an agreed request, a delivery note for goods delivered and an invoice for the amount due. Other available document types serve their own purpose; select the type that matches the actual event.

Open the existing document and use the offered next action when converting it. Review customer, dates, items, tax and totals after conversion. A conversion does not replace a professional check.

The new draft carries the relevant source details and can be reviewed before issue. If the wrong type was chosen, stop in the draft stage and create the correct type rather than issuing a misleading document.
