Open Expenses and record the supplier, date, description, amount, tax rate and category. Attach or reference the supporting receipt when available. Compare the net, VAT and gross amounts with the original document before saving.

Maintain the cash book
Record cash receipts and disbursements with their actual dates and references. Review the running cash balance regularly. Do not use a cash entry to conceal an unknown bank transaction.

Expected result and recovery
The expense appears in its list and the cash movement is reflected in the balance. If a report looks wrong, trace it back to the saved transaction and correct the record through the available workflow.
