Connect AI assistants (MCP)

Connect an AI assistant to SoPasst safely, understand permissions, approve actions and revoke connections.

Overview

Connect an MCP-capable AI assistant to SoPasst. The assistant can then read your company's data, prepare drafts and propose issuing them – nothing is issued until you approve it in SoPasst.

Requirements

  • Planet, Stern or Galaxie plan. Agent access is not included in Komet.
  • You are an owner or admin of the company.
  • Access is switched on under Settings › Agent access.

Connect an assistant

  1. In your AI assistant, open the settings and go to the connectors section (depending on the assistant also called "Apps" or developer mode).
  2. Add a custom connector and enter https://app.sopasst.at/api/mcp as its address.
  3. Choose OAuth as authentication. You need no client ID: leave client ID and secret empty or pick the default identity the assistant recommends.
  4. The assistant opens SoPasst. Sign in, check company, application, redirect destination and permission, and choose "Connect securely".
  5. Back in the assistant, SoPasst is available as a connector.

Important

What the assistant may do

  • Read: customers, suppliers, products, documents including PDFs, expenses, payments, open items and the income and expense summary.
  • Drafts: prepare and fill quotes, orders, delivery notes, invoices, credit notes, expenses and reminders; create and change customers and products. Changes to customers and products need no approval and take effect immediately.
  • Propose actions: issue a draft, e-mail a document, cancel an unpaid invoice with a Storno or issue a credit note. None of this happens without your approval; for an e-mail you see recipient, subject, message and attachment first.
  • Never: delete, change roles or plan, collect or refund payments.

Approving an action

  1. The assistant gives you an approval link; open proposals are also listed under Agent approvals.
  2. Check customer, amount and consequence. If your company has switched on "Approvals with a confirmation code", you also enter the code from your authenticator app.
  3. Choose, for example, "Issue invoice" or "Reject". A proposal is valid for 15 minutes.

Important

Disconnecting

Settings › Agent access lists every connected application. "Revoke access" ends a connection immediately. The emergency stop blocks all assistants of your company at once.

Privacy

What the assistant retrieves leaves SoPasst and is processed by the assistant's provider under its terms. Connect only applications you trust with this data.
